  1. Hey ciara

I've seen your YouTube videos and think they're great :) you said that you wear your hair straight often. I was wondering then, how often you wash/co wash your hair? And what styles do you wear to avoid excess heat and retain length? I'm BS length trying for waist length and think my regimen needs some work.

    Thanks

  2. Thank You!!! How often I wash my hair depends on if I'm working out or not, weaved up or not, curly or not. When straight I wash my hair every 2 weeks. For protective styling I do buns or pony tails or braid it up and throw on a wig. You have the same hair goals as me! Good luck!:)

  3. Hi Ciara,
I'm kinda new to the healthy hair journey, I've always had collar bone length hair, but the WORST split ends, and my hair never really grew. Now, it's longer than it has ever been, and getting stronger, and looking healthier, my question to u is do you ever do roller-sets? And do you do protein treatments as well? If you do, how often? It seems my hair gets harder to comb when wet when I do the protein treatments, do you think I should still do them?

  4. Hey! To answer your questions.

    1. I never do roller-sets. I haven't gotten around to trying it yet lol
    2. I use to do protein treatments years ago but I stopped. When I did them I did it once a month. I think protein treatments are great but you have to do them sparingly or they will dry your hair out. If you feel that its making your hair too brittle try to add lots of moisture to get it back to where it was. I think how often you do it depends on the state of your hair. But I would say no more than once a month.

  5. Thanks! I felt that I should stop doing the protein treatments so often as well. I just needed some advice to help me make this decision! Thanks again!

  6. Hi Ciara: I have Natural hair. I want tohave strait hair again but i don't want to relax my hair. What is your input on the trying the Brazilian Keratine Treatment or any other options..

  7. Brazilian Keratin Treatments are NOT good for your hair! You can try your luck with them but I know someone personally who had a horrible experience. Stylists will tell you it does not contain chemicals, but it is still damaging to your hair. Unfortunately the safest way to be straight as a natural is with heat. I would say however, that a Brazilian Keratin Treatment is a better option than say a relaxer or texturizer.
